EDEN signed its second nongovernmental national partnership agreement February 17, 2012, with the National Center for Biomedical Research and Training.

A first series of activities under this partnership is a pilot project to train Extension educators as instructors for NCBRT's DHS-Certified course AWR-117: Preparing Communities for Animal, Plant, and Food Incidents: An Introduction . The goal of the pilot is to deliver AWR-117 training to 1000 constituents in each of the three participating states: Louisiana, Mississippi and New Mexico.
