Optional in-depth training - Learning the Wiki System: Information Input for eXtension Attend this session and learn the essentials of the Community of Practice (CoP) wiki. By learning just a few basic techniques, you'll never never be lost again. In the CoP wiki you will learn how to input and manage your content, search for content, find your contributions, upload media, establish watchlists, see what others have done, and more.
You will also learn about other eXtension tools available for your use.
So, bring your wireless enabled laptop to the session for hands-on training. |

Optional in-depth training - Animal Biosecurity & Emergency Management Course Presented by the University of Kentucky. All participants will receive a certificate upon completion.
This course is the latest installment in the growing list of all-hazards management online learning opportunities provided by EDEN. This half-day training will cover:
I. Course Overview (approx 1 hour)
A discussion describing course learning objectives, an overview of modules highlighting interactive components, and a review of some features of the learning management system.
II. Classroom Instruction Tools (approx 1 hour)
Presentation of slide sets for selected lessons including a demonstration of the accompanying instructor's guide.
III. Mock Disaster Scenario (approx 1 hour)
Sample interactive exercise involving a simulated animal emergency (included in the course) and a demonstration of the vulnerability assessment checklist and animal emergency action plan.
IV. Questions and Discussion (approx 1/2 hour) |
