Strengthening Community Agrosecurity Preparedness (S-CAP) workshops are funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), Food and Agriculture Defense Initiative (FADI), and the USDA-NIFA Smith Lever Special Needs (SLSN) Competitive Grants Program (2012-41210-20062, 2011-41210-30861, 2010-41210-21669, 2009-41210-05881, and 2008-41210-04831).  The continued financial support from federal partners helps communities enhance their local emergency operations plans and increase resiliency to future disasters.   

Development Team (Original Development of the S-CAP Workshops - 2008):  Developed teaching and evaluation materials and revised the content after the 2009 pilot workshops.

Exercise Development Review Advisory Team, Outreach Advisory Team, and Workgroups:  The Exercise Development Review Advisory Team reviewed development of an exercise program to assess the capabilities of agrosecurity planning efforts at the local level. The Outreach Advisory Team provides oversight and consistency to the Agrosecurity National EDEN Issue Leader (NEIL) workgroup, the S-CAP Virtual Forum workgroup, and other S-CAP initiatives.
