Community Capacity-Building Program for Drought Response

This program is designed for leaders who want to bring a community together to assess drought impacts and explore actions to combat the drought. It is important to note that the program is based on research and experience with community development and long-term recovery efforts in past disasters. While this program can be used by any community leadership team, it is best used with the involvement of local Cooperative Extension Service and National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster leaders.

This is a program still in pilot stages. As more is learned about the 2012 and 2013 mega drought, this guide will be enhanced and the date will be changed from the initial April 10, 2013 date.

When you access the program materials, you will be prompted to register and provide us with information. This information will only be used to contact you to improve the course or let you know of ways to improve the course. Thank you for your understanding.
