EDEN Celebrates 15 Years at the 2009 Annual Meeting

Delegates and guests from 46 different institutions helped celebrate the 15 year anniversary of EDEN at the October 6 to 9 annual meeting in Indianapolis, IN.

The 67 participants were able to learn first-hand  about Food Safety issues for the world’s largest one-day  crowd; the Indianapolis 500, and about Radiological Terrorism from a member of the Indiana Department of Homeland Security during pre conference training.  The educational program at the annual meeting included a variety of peer reviewed and invited presentations from your EDEN colleagues.  These presentations are available to view on line at the 2009 EDEN annual meeting intranet site. You can get some great examples of excellent educational programming from these presentations that may help you with disaster education programming at your institution.  Institutional reports for annual EDEN activities are also available on the EDEN web page. The meeting included a brief business session as well.

For those who like to plan ahead, the 2010 EDEN annual meeting will be held in Lexington Kentucky, and the 2011 annual meeting is scheduled to be held in Oregon.  Be sure to watch for updated information about these and other EDEN events on the EDEN website.
