Each EDEN member institution is encouraged to submit an annual report detailing the involvement and activities of their state Extension system in one or more phases of a disaster (mitigation, prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery). In recent years, EDEN has provided an online form to capture specific information from each institution. The report form allows institutions to attach files, so a narrative report or special image or product can be shared by this mean.
State Reports (so named because originally states were members, represented by the 1862 Extension service in the state) let our colleagues know about the many ways Extension is involved in disaster education, and who to contact to learn more. They are important, also, for letting EDEN know whether its resources are being used.
Beginning in 2003, and excepting 2005, the reports are being compiled by the EDEN Communications Specialst and posted on the EDEN web site, in the "About EDEN" section.
